Kristen Shearer, LPC
(she/her/hers)
Kristen has been licensed and working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families for the last 6 years. She graduated from Boise State University's Master's in Counseling Program in 2016 and brings her eclectic life adventures and experiences into her love of working with kids.
She believes our youth is where we can make large leaps and bounds in making this world a better place so giving them resources and tools to continue the hard changes that we need in this world is a place we can start. If working with your child or family, she'll explore many things to help your family move forward with better communication, boundaries and family connectedness. She loves helping young minds understand the in-depth world of our emotions and emotional awareness and regulation and uses solid tools and common language for families to use to help co-regulate. She brings in mindfulness and movement, and has a background in dance and trauma-informed yoga for youth.
She also has openings for adult clients. She works on defining values and resources we have within, trying to connect them with our intentions in a mindful and resilient way. She uses an eclectic approach based on what you are needing and helps you align with your authentic self.
Kristen offers in-office, telehealth or eco-therapy (walking outside) sessions. Kristen currently has openings and can consult by phone to make sure she is a good fit for you or your child. She is only working with private pay clients at the moment and is looking forward to being credentialed with some insurances in the near future.
For more information, you can view her website, email mountainmindcounseling@gmail.com, or call or text her at 208-352-6018
